Hiking & Camping Gear
If you’ve ever wondered what sort of stuff you need to backpack?
Where Should We Go?
Spring is Here. Time to drag all that gear out and dust if off. The winter time slumber is over. In this blog I will talk about places I have personally been and what I think you might like doing when you get there. We will discuss gear, camping, hiking, trail management, etc. etc. Hope you enjoy it and learn something from it. Thanks for taking a look.
So where should we go? Just about anywhere we want, but here are some of my favorites.

Here’s the long and short of it…
In early 2015, that’s more than six years ago, a friend and I set off to create a set of photography training videos we thought some folks might like to see, from an irreverent & sarcastic guy like myself. The idea was to share just about everything I had ever learned about photography.
If that’s something you think might be of interest to you, then please hit the like & subscribe button RIGHT Now!, oh and don’t forget to also tap the bell. We literally spent weeks on the road traveling up and down the entire west coast of the United States visiting National Parks and treasures often overlooked just to share a single concept. There was a TON of footage and a LOT of road time! So what’s the problem you might ask...Well we loaded it all onto a single hard drive. And then promptly proceeded to misplace it ‘somewhere’.
It has been lost for all this time. Until just recently, completely out of the blue, the lost video hard drive was found intact.
I jokingly tell folks who take the time to read the stories I write for each image I release, “‘Whatever you do, don’t check the spelling or the punctuation, just go for the jist of it!” When it comes to the videos in this series and there are a bunch of them (so you’ll want to hit that Subscribe button and click the Bell, so we can let you know when the next new one comes out), because you’ll want to get the gist of all these Lost Videos!
Welcome to the Lost Video Series.

Episode IX - Sometimes you just have to rethink it all!

In this 9th episode we examine what I call, and have been talking about for some time, The Grand Scape! While these images can be so obvious it can feel like they are yelling at you to photograph them...but sometimes you just have to change your plan. The goal here is to understand that you don't have to have only ONE PLAN. You can have many. The image I share of my interpretation of a Grand Scape did not come about the way I'd intended, but none the less it came about. Thanks for watching and if you're enjoying these episodes then hit the Subscribe button and the Like button, the Alarm...but especially the Share button...go ahead and actually do it!

If the last episode was 'the best one yet', then this one is likely going to win an academy award for acting. Why? I guess you'll have to watch. There are a couple more moments of useful tidbits, aka ProTips! In this 12th episode we're roadside at Emerald Bay in Lake Tahoe for sunrise.
