In Smithsonian

In 2007 Rodney's image "Worldly Wonder" won in the prestigious Landscape category of the Nature's Best Photography Windland Smith Rice International Awards competition and could be seen in the museum during the fall of 2007 thru the fall of 2008. After which it became the first of his images to become part of the Smithsonian's permanent collection. Since that time two more of Rodney’s images have become part of this prestigious collection.

Newest Releases

Here you will find latest releases. Rodney releases only a few select images each year and this is where you’ll find them.

Some of the most fantastic images in Rodney’s collection come from extremely remote locations. Most of the images in this collection come from years of backpacking into the back country with his large format 8x10 camera and two weeks (minimum) worth of supplies and provisions, including tent, food, clothing, first aid, water and other camping gear (you have to have fire right!)

This collection holds a number of Rodney’s favorite images. Check it out - you won’t be disappointed.

It wasn’t long before Rodney fell in love with the desert. Deceptively hidden, the stunning beauty is undeniable.

Black & White

This is where Rodney learn composition. In Black & White photography you have only tonal ranges of grey and pure composition. In color photography you have tonal ranges, lighting and composition…making color, says Rodney, a much more difficult thing to master. Then again, he spent his entire youth shooting B&W.
