Just Words

Glacier National Park
Montana, USA

I stood there hardly believing my eyes, the glory and splendor before me.

There were now only two days before I had to give a scheduled workshop in Glacier and I had decided to get an early start. That morning I stood there thinking about where I was and everything else that was going on in the world; how I felt so very far away from all of it right then.

One recurring thought kept coming back to me time and again that morning. That thought was this: If people would only keep their words, guard what they say to one another, be loyal and truthful to the only true things they own, that being the words they speak, the world would be a far better place.

The light dusting of new snow in the upper elevations cover the massive rocks with a slight layer of pure snow; clean snow, untainted snow. The beauty of the snow tries desperately to cover the rock, but in the end (at least for this day) it is unsuccessful. It will snow another day and my hope is that someday the purity that exists in us all will come forth, like the purity of freshly fallen snow, high in the mountains on a cool, clear and brisk summer morning.

See Ya On the Trail!
