The Glory of God's Light
The Gunnison National Forest
Colorado, USA
I have often thought about the wonderful words written by Henry David Thoreau, “I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately.” A wonderful sentiment made about being in places solace filled. The journey taken and not the path, the point is made.
There have been moments in my life when I believe I know what it would be like to freeze to death, both physical, spiritual. Losing life in every breath. Having to say goodbye to my life on earth. Then coming back around, again.
The Glory of God's Light illuminates the entire landscape, bringing resplendent light into the deep and dark places, availing sorrow. “In love we impart, each to each, in subtlest, immaterial form of thought or atmosphere, the best of ourselves, such as commonly vanishes or evaporates….and mutually enrich each other."
I go to the woods, so that I might live deliberately. Look close as the depths of this image demonstrate why, visually, emotionally, subtly I live in the light.
