The Big Birch Forest

Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore
Michigan, USA

It was the first time I’d spent any time in the mid West during the fall season.  All I can say is Wow!  I got lucky, the timing was perfect and the fall colors were absolutely phenomenal.

The sleepless night wasn’t so bad.  Staying up with the wind, I wondered if anything would change.  I liked it there alone on the shores of Lake Superior.  I didn’t want anything to change.  Even if I had the power, there was nothing there I would rearrange.  I took all the time I could borrow.  The truth of the moment was right there in front of me and I didn’t want anything to change.  Nature’s soul filled my eyes with joy and my heart with happiness.

I showed this image to a friend who had taken his wife here only one week later.  She wanted to know where all the color was.  He told her, “Rodney took it all.” ☺

See Ya On the Trail!
