Don’t quite know how to break this to you….but the world has been around for a very long time.  Not a stones throw from this very spot is a pile, yup a pile, of shale riddled with fossils (hmmm, ‘pile’ might be short changing it a bit.)

All one has to do is to look, really look and examine this image, to understand the layer upon layer of ‘stuff’ piled up on each other.  Once you’ve gotten to that point, stop and think about the amount of time it takes to build a layer of ‘stuff’ that thick, in-between the layers.  We get anxious when there’s a couple feet of snow on the ground.  Can you imagine how we’d be if there were several hundred feet of ‘stuff’?

The world is a perpetual & evolving living organism, and I love it!

See Ya On the Trail!
