Deep Blue Pools
The Inyo National Forest
Few places of such raw beauty still exist, and even they seem to be fading quickly.
Because of this fact I feel such deep pools of sorrow. The pain feels as large as the oceans themselves, and I have cried what seems a river of tears. I fear though that those tears have been lost on the masses.
These feelings come to me every now and then, mostly when visiting places of such overwhelming beauty. I have a hope that one day the dry winds of this desert will stop blowing, and we will wake to the seriousness of what is happening around us.
How can I show the beauty of these places to people who don't really want to see? Images like this seem to be my only outlet. If through this image, and these words, you understand even just a little, then my quest will not have been in vain.
