Boulder is well known for the Flatirons. These huge tectonic plates burst forth from the earth’s crust, creating the beginnings of the front range of the continental divide in Colorado.
This baby Flatiron was captured at dawn, one of those rare sunrises in which everything seems ablaze. I was once accused of spray painting the tree trunks fluorescent orange because of how they look. I assure you, I did no such thing.
